Weather.com Using Virtual Earth

Weather.com has implemented a pretty slick use of Virtual Earth. They are calling it the Interactive Weather Map (Beta) and you can use it to get weather overlays on top of Virtual Earth. They are giving you 4 overlay options: radar, clouds, radar and clouds and of course none. I’ve had this thing running all day and its really cool.

Check it out for yourself at Weather.com!

I really love the concept of having overlays in Virtual Earth - and more specifically would love to see this implemented in Live Search Maps. I’d rather be able to have weather overlays from Weather.com available on Live Search Maps. Sure, they can populate a bit of my screen with a ad or two but it would be great to plan a trip and see the current and predicted weather overlaid on top of what you have in Live Search Maps!
