The folks at Chipin let us know that they’ve officially launched a “Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund Widget” today in partnership with Network for Good - it’s embedded below, along with a smaller version. The money raised will be used to provide assistance to victims and their families, for grief counseling, for memorials, to cover communication expenses and the like.
We previously covered the video left by Seung-Hui Cho (the order of his name was incorrect in early media reports), and Facebook groups related to the VT tragedy. I’m not sure what’s needed more right now: money or condolences. Perhaps a solidarity widget could be useful.
