History of Xenix

Microsoft created their own variant of the unix operating system called xenix. They purchased a license for Version 7 Unix from AT&T in 1979, and announced on August 25, 1980 that it would make it available for the 16-bit microcomputer market.

Xenix varied from its 7th Edition origins by incorporating elements from BSD, and soon possessed the most widely installed base of any Unix flavour due to the popularity of the inexpensive x86 processor, even though the port created for Tandy Corporation computers proved to be more robust.

OpenOffice macro worm discovered BadBunny

Worm targets Windows, Mac and Linux computers - but poses low threat
Experts at Sophos, a world leader in IT security and control, have announced the discovery of an OpenOffice/StarBasic macro worm that drops scripts in several other languages. The worm attempts to download and display an indecent JPEG image of a man wearing a bunny suit performing a sexual act in woodland.

The SB/Badbunny-A worm first infects you when you open an OpenOffice Draw file called badbunny.odg. A macro included in the file performs different functions depending on whether you are running Windows, MacOS or Linux.

Linux CorneliOS is a Multi User System

CorneliOS is a virtual web based OS that runs in your web browser. All applications and files are stored on the CorneliOS server and are accessible all the time and anywhere. CorneliOS is platform and browser independent and is available as free open source software under the GPL as well as under a commercial license.

CorneliOS is a multi-user system, which means that multiple users can have an account on a single CorneliOS server. Each user has its own home directory and his own desktop.
