1) Play games from any country

Harbouring a desire to play Super Gaiden Ninja XI? Now you can. In fact, you can handily play any PS3 game from any country. On holiday in the States and spot the latest release at a bargain dollar-to-pound price? Help yourself. So far, at least, PS3 games aren’t being region coded. That said PS2 and PS1 games are so you can’t play a US title on a Euro console.

And let’s not forget that Blu-ray movies are region-coded so the barriers aren’t completely down yet.

Sony EyeToy for PlayStation Eye Webcam Mystery

Many Sony PS3 gamers have been getting their hopes up for a high-definition EyeToy HD IP webcam and while they may not be getting the HD bit, the PlayStation 3 Eye webcam still looks very good.

Sony announced a little while ago this year the first official EyeToy for the PS3, but the reason we are posting about this PlayStation Eye (as they are calling it) is because we have heard so much mystery and we wonder how much is really fact (especially after seeing them cool videos).

Sony Exec Says Luxury Could Be PS3’s Downfall

Via Next Generation, an interview with CEO of Sony Corporation Sir Howard Stringer on the site CEO Exchange. In the piece they report that Stringer has gone on record as saying the PS3’s price may be its downfall. PS3 to release down under

This March 23rd, the kangaroos down under will witness the release of Sony’s PS3. I are not sure if the australians are gonna to like the price tag much, as they will have to shell out a whopping AUD$999.95 (NZD$1195.95) to get one of the units.

PS3 prices to drop by 2009

Sony seems to realise that the sky high prices of the PS3 are definitely not working in its favour. Unfortunately though, their hands are tied as the Cell costs them a bomb to produce. So even if they want to bring down the prices right now, it is just not possible. If you remember, the PS2 initially was quite expensive, but the prices dropped gradually.
