Apple on Top Vs Record Labels?

Reportedly, Apple Computer will re-negotiate contracts with major record companies next month, and at that time, it will probably seek further concessions from them on selling music without copy-protection software.

According to industry sources, Apple has already inked an early deal with EMI Group, the third-largest record company, and as such, will enter talks with other labels from a position of strength. This is bound to leave Universal Music Group, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group in a tough spot.
