Search engine giant Google is launching My Maps, a new feature of Google Maps that enables users to create custom maps for personal use or sharing through search.
My Maps is available via the Google Maps websites of the US, UK, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Japan and Australia.

Prime Minister Romano Prodi probably will be asked today to see if he has a parliamentary majority after his allies renewed their support late yesterday and unanimously agreed to back the premier’s agenda. Prodi resigned two days ago after losing a foreign policy vote in the Senate. The nine party leaders approved a list of priorities that Prodi presented to them, paving the way for President Giorgio Napolitano to ask the prime minister to seek the support of Parliament for his current government, or form a new Cabinet with the same coalition.

Telecom Italia and Polymer Vision have reached an agreement to manufacture a rollable display device for the mobile market in 2007.The device is based on the Readius concept designed by Polymer Vision, they will show the “Cellular-Book” at 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona on February 12th. Its main purpose is to read newspapers, books and personal data.
