About one year ago our I4U Shop got several Wii consoles in stock. The price in December 2006 was $476.11. Today we received more Nintendo Wii consoles from wholesale channels. The best price we can make this year is $538.80, that is a $60 price increase. This is crazy, products are supposed to get cheaper with time. and The Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 actually did get cheaper this year. The lowest price on the Amazon 3rd party Wii offers is $548.00. At least we were able to beat that price and our shipping fee is also lower.

How times change. When the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and ‘Revolution’ were first announced nearly two years ago it was Sony who got the biggest plaudits, Microsoft a close second and what attention Nintendo did garner was mainly shrugs and giggles. Fast forward to June 2007 and the entire picture has reversed (which, ironically, means the Xbox 360 stays the same).

It took a while, but someone has finally discovered the perfect way in which to capitalize on that string of Wii-related tragedies that we reported on, a few months back. Sure, there are plenty of more rational options for protecting your beloved flat screen from a flying Wiimote, such as stronger straps, or even, you know, restraint, but why employee those boring methods, when you can simply slip a big, plastic guard over your bigscreen LCD?
