I can hear it now, “is that a printer in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?” ZINK is getting a handheld printer ready that will print nice 2×3 pics of whatever floats your boat. The printer is claimed to be about the size of an average cell phone, hopefully not the average cell phone from the 80’s.
No ink is used; the image is created by heat and varying amounts of pressure on polymer paper. The printer is available yet but it is expected to sell for $99 with the paper at about $19.95 for 100 sheets. Sound like the old Polaroid Instamatic camera for the high tech sorts.
