Synaptics Incorporated (Nasdaq: SYNA), a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications and entertainment devices has announced that its MobileTouch(TM) capacitive sensing technology has been incorporated in Pantech’s PT-S280 and PT-K2800 mobile phones. Pantech is using a 4-button MobileTouch solution on the exterior of these phones for quick accessibility and control of popular Multimedia on Demand (MOD) functions. The ultra-thin MobileTouch sensor replaces mechanical buttons and allows the user to easily manipulate controls. LEDs illuminate the touch sensitive buttons on the topside of the phones.

Incorporating Synaptics’ capacitive sensing solutions into our mobile phones allows us to increase functionality, enhance the user experience and continue to create thin stylish designs that appeal to consumers.
