iPhone price too steep

rfid news

I’ve been trying to justify the cost of this phone for the past couple of days and still can’t come up with a reason as to why its worth paying $500+ for this gadget. Don’t get me wrong, its an amazing phone. Very innovative. But $500? Seems to me these things are going to be like the PS3: Guard them with your life. I can already see the news stories now of people getting mugged and beat up for these things. I am surely not discouraging anyone from buying this, I just want to put out there the things you might not be thinking about.

Now, what if you sell your iPod and raise, for example, an average of $150 - $200 to cushion the cost of the iPhone. Would you really let it replace your iPod? I would be all for it, but only when a cell phone’s battery can last more than 2 days with out charging on regular use.  Imagine listening to some tunes, making phone calls, really just enjoying the phone the way it was meant to be. Then this: Your somewhere you really need to use it and your battery died. All because you were using the phone as intended. Lets start promoting devices with battery life that will last! More and more phones are coming out that are power hogs yet the batteries stay the same. So instead the new phones being great, they only become partially great due to the fact that you cant enjoy it without worrying about the battery life like you about remembering to feed your dog.

All in all, its a great phone. But can YOU justify the cost? Let us know what you think of this topic.
