Hyundai Genesis Concept: Sub 30.000 USD luxury V8 sedan revealed prior to its NY debut

Not only prior to the public unveiling but also prior to the press revealing, Hyundai’s Genesis Concept has made its way into the net with the release of 10 real-life images. The Genesis Concept is a near-to-production luxury rear-wheel drive sedan, known by most as the Equus which is scheduled to go into production in 2008 wearing a price tag under 30.000 USD – 22.500 EUR.

In the style department, Hyundai’s designers where obviously inspired from their counterparts in Lexus and BMW –don’t you love the “Bangle” trunk and Hofmeister kink? According to Edmunds, the 197 inches – 5,0 m long Genesis will be powered by a 4.6-liter V8 delivering well over 300Hp and 300 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a ZF six-speed automatic transmission.
