Favicon is the short for “favorite icon“. Favicon was introduced with Internet Explorer 5/6 by Microsoft©. You can see this when you bookmark someone webpage and you will see it under the Favorite menu. In addition, you will also see it in the URL box of your browser too. It is just on the left of the address of the website you visit. Now, Earning Money Blog does have a Favicon too.

It looks like someone holding money sign in hand. Actually, I grabbed it from the Web 2.0 logo created by my friend. I used it because I just want to show my appreciation to my friend and this favicon also suits the title of this blog - “Earning Money Blog”. Right? Design Your Own Favicon
If you are good in art, you may design your own favicon. There are many popular softwares that help you to design favicon. Icon Editor is one of the popular software that helps to design amazing icon. You may try it with free trial. Besides, you can also employ some designers to design a logo for you.

Convert Picture To Favicon
If you have many picture that are too big to become a favicon. You may convert that to become favicon. This is the way how I come out with my favicon. To convert a picture to favicon, you may try this convertor. It’s great and you don’t have to install to use it.

After decide a favicon, you just have to upload the favicon to the main directory of your website( For example, http://www.yourdomain.com/favicon.ico ). After that, you must add a “<LINK REL=”SHORTCUT ICON” href=”http://www.yourdomain.com/favicon.ico”>” statement between the header tags of your blog to make your favicon alive.
