As you may have noticed, the BBC Radio Player has undergone a facelift, and from now will be known simply as BBC iPlayer.

It works the same as the Radio Player did, but with some additional new features which have launched recently.

Why has this happened?

This is the first step in a major project which aims to make listening to and watching BBC audio and video content simpler, by bringing everything together in one place: BBC iPlayer. For the time being, however, the BBC’s on-demand Radio and Television services will remain separate.
