ANNA NICOLE SMITH 1967-2007

1967 – Vickie Lynn Hogan is born in Houston, Texas. Growing up she tells her family she wants to be the next Marilyn Monroe.

1985 – A 17-year-old Vickie meets Billy Smith while working in a fried chicken restaurant and marries him.

1986 – Vickie gives birth to Daniel Wayne Smith and separates from her husband a year later. She becomes an exotic dancer at a nightclub.

1992 – Chosen by Hugh Hefner to appear on the cover of Playboy.

1993 – Chosen as the Playmate of the Year and becomes known as Anna Nicole Smith. Becomes a Guess Jeans model.

1994 – Marries elderly oil billionaire J. Howard Marshall, aged 26. He is 89.

1995 – Marshall dies. A bitter court battle over inheritance begins and she is awarded $450 million, later reduced to $88 million, which is then appealed to the US Supreme Court, which found in her favour allowing her to pursue the case in federal court.

2003 – After piling on weight Anna Nicole loses almost 80 pounds.

2006 – Daughter Dannielynn born on September 7 following a row over who the father is – attorney Howard K Stern or photojournalist Larry Birkhead.

Three days later her son Daniel dies of an overdose, aged 20.

The same month she has a commitment ceremony with Howard K Stern.

2007 – Anna Nicole Smith dies, aged 39, February 8, after collapsing in her hotel room.
