Adobe Unveils Next Generation Internet Video Solution

The Adobe Media Player expands Adobe’s Internet video solutions, adding to an emerging ecosystem that enables new ways to distribute and monetize media, while helping viewers discover and view high-quality content both online and offline. Leveraging Adobe’s Emmy Award winning Flash architecture, this desktop application delivers more engaging video experiences to viewers while offering content publishers new abilities to distribute, track and build businesses around their media assets. A preview of the new player will be shown during NAB, April 16 - 19 (Booth SL 3220).

Adobe Delivers Previews of Pro Video Tools

Customers will be able to test free public previews of Adobe Premiere® Pro CS3, Adobe After Effects® CS3 Professional and Adobe Soundbooth™ CS3 software on Adobe Labs at http://labs.adobe.com/. The final shipping releases will be available worldwide in the third quarter of 2007. These products are components of the recently announced Adobe Creative Suite® 3 Production Premium.

Adobe Announces Flash Media Solution Provider Program

The new program is a consortium of professional streaming solution providers and publishers that offer consulting and implementation services for the Adobe Flash® Media Server. FMSP partner services include on-site set up, encoding, hosting, reporting and promotion. Now organizations can leverage professional service providers who specialize in delivering live and on-demand Flash streaming solutions to expedite critical streaming projects.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium Wins in Broadcasting

In support of it’s Creative Desktop Initiative, the BBC has selected Adobe® Creative Suite® 3 Production Premium as its preferred solution for PC-based nonlinear editing and post-production. Production Premium CS3 is will be used to edit and deliver content across the BBC’s broadcast channels and websites. Beginning in April 2007, the BBC will start rolling out Adobe Premiere® Pro CS2 to PC users within the organization, allowing them to take advantage of the powerful non-linear editing tool. The organization will move to Production Premium CS3 in summer 2007 when the solution ships.
